Artist Statements are funny things aren't they?  I mean really.  How many have you ever read one, then walked away shaking your head wondering what in the world did you just read because the artist was using these "art words' you have 1, never heard of before in your life, or 2, they were talking so far above your head you lost interest before you got started or 3, my personal favorite, where they start to give credit to some so called muse, sprite, spirit god or some other thing they find themselves in trance with before they start to paint.

Really?  I mean come one people.  I paint becuase I honeslty love to paint, thats it.  I love to explore the colors as they work together and then try to find ways to disrupt that with things that the so called "art laws" prohibit.  saying you can't do that,  well why not?  

 

You see , I look for ways to break those so called art rules every day,  thats the fun of painting to me, pushing those boundries of why nots?  and in most cases I come up with some really cool looking stuff, sometimes, not so much.  But hey they can't all be winners.

 

So I guess even before I was arrested foe allegedly stealing my own artwork, I have always been an "outlaw artist" as I have been breaking and continually look for ways to break those so called art rules.  

 

If I have offended any artist reading this, oh well.
